This accreditation authorises us to register, renew, and manage .ae domains — and the Arabic-script “.امارات” (dotEmarat) — directly through the official UAE registry.
What TDRA accreditation actually means
The .ae country-code domain is administered by the .ae Domain Administration (aeDA), a department of TDRA that serves as both the regulatory body and the registry operator for the UAE’s national namespace. Becoming a TDRA accredited registrar is not a formality you buy off a shelf.
To reach this milestone, Gatehills signed a Registry-Registrar Agreement with the aeDA, passed the technical and administrative tests required by TDRA, and demonstrated compliance with the aeDA’s policy framework and code of practice — on top of the ICANN accreditation international registrars are required to hold. In practice, it means our systems integrate directly with the UAE registry and our operations meet the standards the regulator sets for the national domain space.
